Many professional engineers join societies to help them continue to learn about their fields of interest. These societies hold lectures, dinners, and social events to encourage professionals to interact with others in their field and continue their knowledge of current engineering practices. Some of these societies will have representatives at the Engineering Expo to share their knowledge and answer questions about their fields of expertise.
